This job involves reviewing and analyzing financial records for programs that provide nutritious meals to children and adults across Pennsylvania, ensuring everything follows federal and state rules.
You'll check the financial health of over 2,000 participating organizations and work with teams to fix any issues with fund usage.

As a Fiscal Compliance Specialist, your work will focus on analyzing the fiscal activity of programs within the CNP, the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) and the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP).
This position reviews and analyzes the financial viability documentation provided by entities interested in participating in the CNP and evaluates for appropriate use of funds in accordance with regulations.
You can expect to perform analysis of financial transactions, financial statements, and reports to determine the accuracy of accounts and if expenditure of funds is in conformance with federal regulations.
You will work with program managers to review non-compliance issues and ensure consistency within the specific program area.
In this role, a thorough knowledge of USDA and other federal regulations and state law as it relates to fiscal operations of the CNP is essential.
You will have the opportunity to discuss complex and sensitive matters with a section manager or division chief.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. Staff is required to report to the worksite one day a week (Thursday).
In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.
If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.
