Job Description

Summary

This job involves handling financial transactions for the U.S. Pacific Fleet, making sure they're accurate and on time, while following rules and fixing any money-related problems.

It also includes creating reports from financial data and managing end-of-period reviews to keep everything in order.

Full Job Description

You will serve as a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST for the DIRECTOR FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT &FLEET COMPTROLLER of OPERATIONAL SUPPORT FACILITY.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector processing financial transactions ensuring validity, accuracy and timeliness; implementing financial policies, procedures and/or regulations; identifying, analyzing and resolving a range of issues within multiple areas of financial management; and/or using various accounting systems to produce reports and review processes.

  • You will process financial transactions ensuring validity, accuracy and timeliness.
  • You will implement financial policies, procedures and regulations.
  • You will identify, analyze and resolve a range of issues within multiple areas of financial management to include but not limited to travel authorizations/vouchers, encumbrance documents, commitments, obligations, payments, and errors.
  • You will produce reports that utilized descriptive statistics to identify characteristics of a data set and assess relationships within data sets for management review and take action as necessary.
  • You will complete month-end, year-end and Tri-Annual Review processes to ensure transactions are accurate, valid and adhering to internal controls.
