Job Description

Summary

This job involves helping manage budgets and financial data for the U.S. Marine Corps in Japan, including reviewing requests, tracking spending, and providing recommendations on programs.

It's a good fit for someone with experience in financial analysis or budgeting who is detail-oriented and comfortable working with numbers in a structured government environment.

Note that medical and dental care is very limited in the location, so it's best for those prepared for overseas living.

Key Requirements

You will serve as a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the Marine Corps Installations Pacific ofMARINE CORPS BASE CAMP BUTLER . ***ACCESS TO MEDICAL AND DENTAL CARE IN JAPAN IS EXTREMELY LIMITED.

GS-09: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Analyzing, evaluating, and reviewing budget and program issues and financial data and report using business tools and applications (e.g.

DAI, cost and economic analysis and performance metrics to provide recommendations.

GS-07: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Assisting with the review of budget and program issues in regards to financial management systems to maintain data integrity.

  • You will perform specialized work involving managerial or administrative work in connection with accounting systems; analytical, forecasting, and interpretive functions associated with the management and control of resources or funds.
  • You will perform in a variety of fiscal, accounting, or financial management duties and responsibilities.
  • You will develop, determine, and interpret budgetary policies and practices.
