Full Job Description

You will serve as a Financial Management Analyst of OJAG/ NLSC.

GS-13 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the 12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: demonstrating a knowledge and experience of financial management policies and regulations with specific emphasis on funding requisition and budget execution and fiscal law issues.

Experience includes creation of funding documents, utilization of various financial management systems, communication with activities to obtain documentation and creation of standard operating procedures.

I have experience in identifying, analyzing, and resolving financial execution problems such as unmatched disbursements, abnormal accounts payables, unliquidated obligations, inability to obtain supporting documentation, meeting established deadlines, completion of budgetary taskers and reports, and system issues.

GS-12 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the 1 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector demonstrating knowledge and experience of financial management policies and regulations with specific emphasis on funding requisition and budget execution.

  • You will assist the Comptroller and perform financial auditing and internal controls management to include policy and procedures for auditing and internal controls within the OJAG and NLSC organizations.
  • You will input financial transactions into the official accounting system, maintenance of fiscal data in the accounting system, and preparing reports from the accounting system.
  • You will keep appraised of OJAG and NLSC initiatives, priorities, desires, mission goals, objectives, operating parameters and translates them into plans of action
  • You will direct and/or perform continuing program execution reviews, analysis and appraisal of the major financial operating and support programs within the organizations.
  • You will serve as the primary financial representative processing Navy Independent Defense Funding (NIDF) requests and invoices.
  • You will ensure compliance with financial controls as identified in the Integrated Risk Management (IRM) policy.
