Base salary range: $41,966 - $54,557

This job involves handling financial tasks related to travel claims, budgeting, and accounting for a naval shipyard, ensuring everything is done efficiently and follows regulations.
You'll audit travel expenses, analyze costs, and help solve financial issues for programs.

You will serve as a Financial Management Analyst in the Comptroller Department (C600) Accounting Division (C610) Travel Branch (C615) of the NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Auditing, certifying and authorizing all shipyards temporary duty (TDY) travel/local travel claims to include actual expense lodging.
Analyzing trends, resolution of conflicts in interpretation, cost analysis and expertise in travel matters necessary to provide efficient, expedient, and economical travel arrangements.
Possessing substantial knowledge of travel requirements, procedures, and functions to effectively manage their area of responsibility.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience identifying, analyzing and resolving a range of budgetary problems such as development of alternative methods of funding.
Assisting in the development of specific objectives and devise new methods, techniques, and criteria. Demonstrating knowledge of administrative and financial management systems.
