Base salary range: $62,107 - $80,737
Typical requirements: 1 year specialized experience at GS-10. Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, or 3 years graduate study.
Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves managing travel-related finances for the Navy, including helping people use the Defense Travel System, ensuring compliance with rules, and handling government credit cards for travel expenses.
It also includes creating budgets, training staff on travel policies, and reviewing financial reports to keep everything accurate.
A good fit would be someone with experience in financial administration, especially in government or military settings, who is detail-oriented and comfortable with financial software.
You will serve as a Financial Management Analyst in the N02-F Comptroller of COMMANDER US NAVAL FORCES EUROPE.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience includes: 1) Providing customers with assistance with the Defense Travel System (DTS) with orders writing, reviewing and approving authorizations and vouchers; 2) Monitoring functional aspects of the Defense Travel System to ensure continues successful operation, compliance tools audits/travel audits; 3) Applying the rules and regulations of the Department of Defense Financial Management Regulation (DODFMR), and the Joint Travel Regulations (JTR) ; 4)Managing the Government Travel Card Individually Billed Account and Centrally Billed Accounts and generating funding documents and reconciliation of financial transactions 5) Using various financial systems not limited to Navy Enterprise Resource Planning System (ERP), Defense Travel System (DTS) Government Travel Charge Card (GTCC) program; and 6)Developing a spend plan, obligation phasing plan and tracking variances throughout budget execution cycle.
