Full Job Description

You will serve as a You will serve as a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST of the US NAVAL COMMUNITY COLLEGE (USNCC).

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-11) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Ensuring financial administration program compliance by advising management on budgeting concepts, principles, laws, and regulations, recommending efficient methods for the acquisition and use of funds; 2) Investigating, analyzing and modifying programs, operations, and financial systems of agency-wide activities; 3) Creating and interpreting reports and data, ensuring the integrity, timeliness and accuracy of funds and financial obligations; and 4) Implementing legal and regulatory control over approved budgets by evaluating, presenting, and defending budget requests, obligations and expenditures.

  • You will advise and contribute on work in any phases of systems of budget administration, to include formulation of budget /estimates to support plans, programs, and activities.
  • You will present and defend budget estimates to leadership; review and evaluate budget requests; control, and report on obligations and expenditures.
  • You will analyze and recommend costs/benefit of alternative methods of financial management of the institution's programs and activities.
  • You will execute modifications to systems, programs, and/or operations and establish criteria and other means to assess, investigate, or analyze a variety of unusual problems and conditions.
  • You will perform a variety of analytical, technical, and administrative work for substantive programs and activities.
