This job involves analyzing financial data for defense research and development projects, creating cost estimates, and supporting leadership decisions with numbers and insights.
It also includes managing schedules, reports, and documentation systems for high-level groups in the Department of Defense.

This position is located in the Office of the Under Secretary of War for Research and Engineering (OUSW(R&E)).
The USW(R&E) serves as the Chief Technology Officer and is responsible for research, development, and prototyping activities within the Department of War (DoW).
In order to qualify for this position, you must meet the requirements described below.
You may qualify at the NH-04 (GS-14/15) level, if you fulfill the following qualification requirement: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the NH-03 (GS-13) grade level in the Federal service (experience may have been gained in the private sector) that demonstrates your ability to: Conducts studies on program concepts and future systems using financial management, mathematics, economics to develop cost analyses and estimates, and providing robust quantitative and qualitative inputs for executive decisions.
Manages the Correspondence and Task Management System (CATMS), compiling financial packages and maintaining up-to-date internal documentation for leadership.
Manages schedules for the Review Management Group (RMG) and Deputy's Management Action Group (DMAG), and organizes weekly synchronization reports.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social).
You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
