This position is located in one of the Smithsonian Institution's facilities serviced by the Office of Facilities Management (FM).
The Office of Facilities Management (FM) is responsible for all Smithsonian facilities, many of which are designated as historic and all of which are visited by millions of people each year.

The Facilities Services Supervisor is responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementation of all building/facilities services, laborer, custodial and materials handling operations within the zone/building.
In this position, you will: Plan, direct, monitor and manage the operations of a zone/building in the day-to-day oversight of a large cleaning operation, labor and moving services, and special event coordination.
Perform the full range of supervisory functions for Building and Facilities Services, Custodial, Laborer, and Materials Handling staff.
Use a maintenance management computer software system (Facility Center) for timekeeping, purchasing, work order management and reporting.
