This job involves leading the management of the F-35 Lightning II fighter jet program, overseeing everything from design and testing to production and long-term support for the U.S. Navy.
You'll handle budgets, timelines, and team coordination to ensure the aircraft meets military needs while dealing with government and industry partners.

You will serve as a PROGRAM MANAGER in the PROGRAM MANAGEMENT GROUP of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV.

With technologically advanced airframe, logistics, avionics and propulsion systems, this multi-role fighter jet is the world's foremost stealthy, lethal, supportable and survivable aircraft to dominate the sky.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-13) grade level or pay band (DA-05) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Utilizing a wide range of technical and business systems, processes, and practices used to manage weapon systems acquisition; 2) Reviewing, analyzing, and implementing higher level procurement policies; 3) Managing project/program requirements, objectives and metrics, and resolving conflicts among schedules, funding, and resources; 4) Identifying opportunities to incorporate process improvements and best practices utilizing customer feedback, internal and external audits, self-assessment, and lessons learned activities; and 5) Advising management and colleagues on difficult problems, conducting special studies, proposing options and alternatives, and representing a command.
