Base salary range: $88,520 - $115,079

Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This role acts as the top civilian advisor to the commander of a major U.S.
Army engineering division, handling day-to-day management, protocol for official events, and coordination across teams in Portland and Omaha.
It involves giving high-level advice on regional projects, improving program efficiency, and keeping everyone aligned on goals.
A good fit would be someone with strong leadership experience in government or military settings, excellent communication skills, and a knack for organizing complex operations.
About the Position: Serves as Executive Officer, Protocol Officer, and principal civilian assistant to the Commander of the Northwestern Division and two members of the Senior Executive Service which encompasses geographically both Portland, Oregon and Omaha, Nebraska.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Applying knowledge of strategic planning and corporate history to successfully accomplish projects, policy programs, goals and objectives; 2) Utilizing qualitative and/or quantitative methods to assess and improve the division program effectiveness; 3) Analyzing recommendations/proposals to determine effects on current policies and procedures; and 4) Synchronizing activities throughout an organization in order to maintain situational awareness at all levels of command.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).

For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
