Base salary range: $62,107 - $80,737
Typical requirements: 1 year specialized experience at GS-10. Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, or 3 years graduate study.
Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves managing and supporting aviation training equipment for the Navy's helicopter wing, including overseeing operations, maintenance, modifications, and procurement to ensure everything meets training standards.
You'll provide technical advice on installing or updating simulators and devices, track their use, and handle related reports and contracts.
It's a great fit for someone with hands-on experience in aviation maintenance or training programs who enjoys problem-solving in a military or technical environment.
You will serve as a EQUIPMENT SPECIALIST in the TRAINING & READINESS DEPARTMENT of HELICOPTER MARITIME STRIKE WING PAC.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector evaluating operational and maintenance requirements for an aviation training program by recommending solutions and providing technical guidance for the installation, modification or procurement of equipment or simulator devices to ensure compliance with aviation training program guidelines.
