GS-11 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-10 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Developing new experimental system and demonstration unites in support of engineering laboratories; 2) Applying theories and techniques of engineering to assist and direct students to solve design problems; 3) Collecting and analyzing data to be used in technical papers and/or publications; and 4) Reading, interpreting and generating complex mechanical drawings.

NOTE: All experience must be fully demonstrated in your resume to be considered for the position.

GS-10 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

  • You will develop new experimental systems and demonstration units for a variety of engineering laboratories, including Mechanical Engineering Experimentation, Mechanical Vibrations, Ocean Engineering Structures, or other labs.
  • You will determine test procedures and make design changes to improve test equipment and related accessories.
  • You will set up, calibrate, and operate mechanical/electronic equipment associated with various engineering labs.
