Base salary range: $46,479 - $60,424

Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves helping plan, build, and inspect water, wastewater, and waste facilities for American Indian communities as part of the Indian Health Service.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Your resume must demonstrate at least one-year specialized experience equivalent to the GS-08 grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks: GS-9: Experience with surveying with precision, drafting, construction inspection, construction cost estimating, and project management.
OR Completion of two full years of graduate education or a master's degree directly related to the work of the Engineering Technician such as, engineering, construction or industrial technology.
OR A combination of specialized experience and education that meets 100% of the qualification requirements for this position. Major Duties:

This position will be located in one of the locations identified and will be responsible for duties such as: Utilizing survey equipment to calculate data points.
Taking field notes and utilizing information to develop plans. Performing construction inspection for community and individual water supply.
Ensuring safety standards and environmental regulations are interpreted and applied accordingly as projects progress. Recognizing errors and deficiencies in technical data.
