MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Your resume must demonstrate at least one-year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-06 grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks: GS-7: Experience with general surveying, drafting, and construction inspection.

OR Completion of 1 full year of graduate level education directly related to the work of the Engineering Technician such as, engineering, construction, industrial technology.

OR A combination of specialized experience and education that meets 100% of the qualification requirements for this position.

Time In Grade Federal employees in the competitive service are also subject to the Time-In-Grade Requirements: Merit Promotion (status) candidates must have completed one year of service at the next lower grade level.

Time-In-Grade provisions do not apply under the Excepted Service Examining Plan (ESEP). Major Duties:

This position will be located in one of the locations identified and will be responsible for duties such as: Utilizing survey equipment to calculate data points.

Taking field notes and utilizing information to develop plans. Performing construction inspection for community and individual water supply.

Ensuring safety standards and environmental regulations are interpreted and applied accordingly as projects progress. Recognizing errors and deficiencies in technical data.
