Base salary range: $62,107 - $80,737
Typical requirements: 1 year specialized experience at GS-10. Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, or 3 years graduate study.
Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves working as an engineering technician for the Navy, helping to diagnose, test, and repair complex propulsion systems on ships, especially when issues arise that regular teams can't handle.
You'll guide other Navy experts on fixes, lead testing teams, and provide on-site support for urgent equipment problems.
It's a great fit for someone with hands-on experience in ship machinery maintenance who enjoys technical problem-solving in a military setting.

Notice of Result letters will not be sent to applicants who respond to this flyer. You will serve as an ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN in the Engineering Department of FW DEPLOYED REG MAINT CTR DET.
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Conducting operational problem testing on main propulsion systems such as main reduction gear, auxiliary reduction gears, propulsion shafting/bearings or clutches/coupling and propulsions to perform repairs and conduct maintenance.
