About the Position: This position is located in the Facilities Management Department of Naval Hospital Bremerton, Washington.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: applying methods and techniques of engineering with industrial/commercial Construction; overseeing and coordinating various aspects of construction project; monitoring contractors performance to ensure compliance with government policies and regulations.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-10).

Major Duties:

• Will serve as Project Manager (PM) for facility construction projects.
• Subject matter expert on facility construction for all Defense Health Agency (DHA) owned buildings.
• Identify deficiencies, write construction scopes and prepare cost estimates in accordance with accepted engineering standards.
• Serve as Government representative for general oversite and Quality Assurance on multiple maintenance and construction contracts.
• Evaluate customer generated work requests to develop projects to include development of statements of work.
• Review and approve contractor construction schedules, invoices, quality control documentation.
• Utilize Office Automation, i.e., including Microsoft Windows, Outlook, Internet, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
