Job Description

Summary

This job involves working as an engineer for the Navy, focusing on analyzing and fixing issues in radar systems for ships and weapons, from initial design to ongoing maintenance.

  • You will function as a Computer/Electronics Engineer for the NSWC PHD Surveillance Radar Division and provide critical engineering expertise.
  • You will provide engineering oversight for the entire system life cycle, from design and development through testing, fielding, and long-term sustainment.
  • You will work effectively within Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and communicate complex technical analyses and recommendations to all levels of management and technical personnel.
  • You will define, develop, and perform a wide range of engineering tasks, including shipboard/laboratory testing, and use data analysis applications to model performance and recommend system improvements.
  • You will apply integrated computer and electrical engineering principles to provide expert technical assistance and acquisition support.
  • You will demonstrate specific experience with Radio Frequency (RF) Receivers/Transmitters and related signal processing concepts.
