Full Job Description

You will serve as an Engineer in the Unmanned Systems Integration Division of NAVUNSEAWARCENDIV KEYPORT WA. This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project.

The ND-4 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-12 and GS-13.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the ND-03 pay band (GS-09 through GS-11 equivalency) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: as a professional engineer applying mechanical engineering theories, concepts, and principles to lead teams or projects within a maintenance or production environment.

  • You will serve as a Senior Engineer in the Unmanned Systems Integration Division who trains qualifies, and guides personnel on directive, policies, procedures, and equipment.
  • You will participate in workforce shaping discussions identifying needed skill sets for vacant positions and analyzing workload to recommend new positions.
  • You will assess employee skill development and performance to inform supervisors of progress, training, and mentoring needs.
  • You will support personnel with accomplishment of programmatic tasking, equipment problem resolution, planning and scheduling, repair, integration, and modernization of Unmanned Undersea Vehicle (UUV) and support equipment.
  • You will develop technical support networks, collaboration opportunities, organizational workforce shaping recommendations, and analytic methodologies with Department leadership and external organizations.
