Full Job Description

Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Field Operations Located in Long Beach CA.

Experience: You qualify for the GS- 13 grade level if you possess 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as: Conducting multi-source intelligence or law-enforcement analysis to produce written assessments, threat analyses, or operational reports.

Using advanced analytical tools (e.g., link, geospatial, toll, or database analysis) to identify patterns, trends, or targets related to border security or criminal networks.

Accessing and exploiting classified and unclassified intelligence databases to support enforcement or interdiction operations.

Preparing and delivering intelligence products or briefings to management or interagency partners to inform decision-making.

Collaborating with federal, state, local, or international intelligence/law-enforcement entities to exchange information or coordinate joint activities NOTE: Your resume must explicitly indicate how you meet this requirement, otherwise you will be found ineligible.

Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is a federal law enforcement agency that requires all applicants to undergo a thorough background investigation prior to employment in order to promote the agency's core values of vigilance, service to country, and integrity.

This position starts at a salary of $124,085.00 (GS-13, Step 1) to $161,313.00 (GS-13, Step 10) In this Enforcement Analysis position, you will become a key team member of the Department of Homeland Security professionals.

Typical work assignments include: Applying a full range of analytical knowledge, skills, and abilities in compiling data into intelligence reports in support of law enforcement programs and operations of DHS/CBP/OFO Employing analytical tools including computerized graphics and spreadsheets in the development of reports Developing and preparing finished intelligence reports and a variety of other written communications necessary for CBP and Office of Field Operations intelligence operations Performs a wide range of functions at varying levels of difficulty and complexity to include intelligence collection management, creation of target folders, threat assessments and other in-depth studies.
