Full Job Description

You will serve as a ELECTRONICS INTEGRATED SYSTEMS MECHANIC LEADER in the WEAPONS REPAIR DEPARTMENT of TRIDENT REFIT FACILITY, BANGOR.

The Secretary of Defense has ordered a department-wide hiring freeze subject to certain limited exceptions. This position is subject to the DoD hiring freeze.

  • You will, in the absence of the Shop Supervisor, assume the duties and responsibilities of the Supervisor.
  • You will coordinate the work assignments and provide technical assistance to lower/same grade employees or military personnel assigned on a task basis.
  • You will work with supervisor to plan the use of equipment, facilities, and materials to accomplish a variety of work within established refit cycles, maintenance periods and other availabilities.
  • You will develop daily or short-term work schedules ensuring required plans, materials and tools are available.
  • You will exercise judgment and independence in determining solutions to maintenance and repair deficiencies which could be complicated by inter-actions of the various complex subsystems.
  • You will promote and explain, in conjunction with the supervisor, the full range of command programs.
  • You will ensure safe work practices and good housekeeping practices and participate in surveillances within the division.
