Base salary range: $62,107 - $80,737
Typical requirements: 1 year specialized experience at GS-10. Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, or 3 years graduate study.
Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining advanced Aegis weapon systems on Navy ships, especially those involved in missile defense, while providing on-site technical support to deployed forces.
It requires hands-on expertise in electronics and computing to fix urgent issues and ensure systems work properly during missions.
A good fit would be someone with military or technical experience in naval electronics who thrives in high-pressure, problem-solving environments.
You will serve as an Electronics Technician in the Combat Systems Weapon Division of FWD DEPLOYED REG MAINT CTR DET ROTA.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Troubleshooting, repairing, and configuring AEGIS weapon systems and their interfaces AND Solving problems affecting the AEGIS weapon systems with software, electrical, electronic, and other engineering disciplines AND Providing technical assistance for mission degrading Casualty Reports (CASREP) AND Providing technical services inspecting, repairing, and providing training on AEGIS computing systems.
