Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves working as an electronics technician expert on the Aegis ship's computer network systems, helping maintain and fix them on naval vessels in Japan to ensure they're ready for combat.
You'll provide hands-on support, training to ship crews, and solutions for technical issues in areas like electronics, computing, and fiber optics.

You will serve as an ELECTRONICS TECHNICIAN for Baseline 9 Aegis Computer Network Technician (ACNT) Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the AEGIS BRANCH - C291 of NAVAL SHIP REPAIR FACILITY JAPAN REGIONAL MANITENANCE CENTER.

GS-12: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience with Baseline 9 Aegis Computer Network Technician (ACNT) Subject Matter Expert (SME) in support of Fleet Technical Assists (FTAs) and CASREPS.
Experience providing technical and engineering services in the performance, operation, maintenance, depot level repair and modernization, system testing/certification and fleet technical support of assigned systems and sub-systems.
Experience in scheduled shipboard assessment events to assess and validate material and operational readiness of assigned systems.
Experience identifying, analyzing, and documenting deficiencies necessary to develop comprehensive repair plans in support of depot level work packages and ship systems lifestyle programs.
Experience providing on-site resolution and/or correction of production, performance, or quality deficiencies on assigned systems for ships.
