Requirements

In this position, you will be responsible for installing, operating, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and components, including lighting, ballasts, motors, controls, switches, receptacles, electrical panels, meters, disconnects, bus systems, transformers, and generators.

You will assess each assignment to determine the appropriate methods, procedures, equipment, and requirements. You will work independently, seeking guidance only in complex or critical situations.

In addition, you will evaluate equipment performance and recommend improvements to enhance reliability and efficiency, including establishing suitable timeframes for predictive maintenance activities.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
  • Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Free parking is included with this position.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position
  • Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $45,907.00 (before taxes).

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Six years of experience installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems, components, and equipment, including two years performing skilled electrical installation and repair work in commercial, industrial, or multi-unit residential structures; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training which includes two years performing skilled electrical installation and repair work in commercial, industrial, or multi-unit residential structures.

Special Requirement:

  • This position requires possession of an active motor vehicle license.


Additional Requirement:

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

  • You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
