Job Description

Summary

This job involves supporting a public affairs office at a naval training command by helping create written materials, managing social media, handling customer inquiries, and coordinating events and visitors.

Full Job Description

You will serve as an EDITORIAL ASSISTANT in the PUBLIC AFFAIRS OFFICE of RECRUIT TRAINING COMMAND.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of SPECIALIZED experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1. Preparing and proofreading written communication ensuring proper spelling, capitalization, grammar, and formatting; 2.

Managing enterprise social media accounts; 3. Providing customer service to include receiving calls, greeting visitors and responding to email; 4. Using a digital camera to capture photos and video. 5.

Developing and maintaining information in software programs such as Microsoft Office Suite.

  • You will serve as the point of contact for the Public Affairs Office for internal and external customers.
  • You will manage event/tour scheduling and assist with managing special guests and visitors.
