This position is part of the Air Force Elements, U.S. Transportation Command. You may qualify at the GS-09, if you fulfill the following qualifications: A.
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service: Assisting with the preparation and coordination of documents in support of staffing actions and manpower requirements.
Skill in fact-finding, problem analysis, and development of courses of action for problem resolution.
Using office automation software programs, tools, and techniques to support office operations and producing a wide variety of documents that require complex formats; updating or revising databases and spreadsheets.
OR B. I have a Master's or equivalent graduate degree, or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related. OR C.
You have some specialized experience as described in A, but less than one year; and you have more than one year but less than two years of education as described in B.
You have computed the percentage of the requirements that you meet, and the total is at least 100%. (To compute the percentage, divide your total months of qualifying experience by 12.
Then divide your semester hours of graduate education beyond the first year by 18. Add the two percentages.
The total percentage must equal at least 100 percent to qualify.) Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social).
Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Major Duties:
As a MANAGEMENT AND PROGRAM ANALYST at the GS-0343-9 some of your typical work assignments may include: Prepares, processes, and tracks civilian staffing actions and manpower requests; maintains currency of staffing and manpower documents; prepares comprehensive reports to inform leadership decisions.
Experience with Requests for Personnel Actions (RPAs) and the Defense Civilian Personnel Data System (DCPDS) is desired.
Performs appointed roles for administrative support programs; provides organizational support for travel administration, timekeeping, and purchasing.
Experience with the Defense Transportation System (DTS) is desired. Utilizes computer software to prepare a wide range of documents and products that may require complex formats.
Executes special projects to include data collection, data analysis, report generation, and records management. Proficient with platforms such as SharePoint and task management tools.
Develops, documents, and maintains internal operating processes and procedures.
