Full Job Description

Under general supervision, perform work at the full-performance level supervising, training, educating, and directing economic service workers. Monitor and evaluate staff performance on routine work assigned for compliance with established expectations and document in administrative files. Skillfully communicate with community services and programs to facilitate assistance for clients. Assists workers in determining eligibility of clients for economic services. Oversee that all applications for benefits and redeterminations for assistance in all programs are processed in a timely manner and in accordance with department policy. Ensure direct compliance with all federal and state policies in administering Office of Family Assistance programs. Performs related work as required.

Qualifications

Training: Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university.

Experience: Two years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid employment in a public or private social welfare agency or related experience in interviewing or evaluating claimants for assistance, veteran's or unemployment benefits, insurance or similar programs operating under established criteria for eligibility.
Substitution: Additional work experience as defined above may be substituted for the training on a year-for-year basis.
