DSHS FTAA Truck Driver 2
Are you eager to take your truck driving skills to the next level? We have an opportunity within the Maintenance and Operations Division (MOD) to enhance your career as a Truck Driver 2 located in Medical Lake, WA. You will experience the rewarding feeling of being alongside a dedicated team that shares your commitment to success!
This position is On-Call and there are no set hours/schedule. This position will be used to augment staff during periods of heavy workloads and to fill sick and vacation days.
Some of what you will do: - Drive one and operate medium to large trucks, special vehicles, large vehicles and large delivery vans.
- Pick up and deliver various supplies, equipment, and furniture by operating a forklift or hand dolly.
- Pick up refuse containers by operating a garbage truck.
- Assists in the collection and transporting of recycled materials.
- Clean exterior and interior of vehicles including vacuuming.
- Transport clients and patients.
- Deliver food and laundry.
What we are looking for:- Work indoors and outdoors with all tools and equipment relevant to the transportation trade.
- Drive and operate a variety of vehicles and equipment such as trucks, van, forklifts, etc.
- Perform the physical requirements of this position.
- Workaround potentially hazardous chemicals such as gasoline, diesel, and contaminated laundry.
- Should possess a CDL class A or B license with passenger endorsement and no air brake restriction.
Who should apply?
- Drivers with no restrictions on their Class B CDL with a P-1 Passenger Endorsement with no Air-Brake restriction up to 26,000 GVW.
- And valid driver's license free from serious traffic violations.
- And one year of experience operating commercial class vehicles of at least 18,000 GVW and/or transporting passengers.
Note: One year as a Truck Driver 1 for Washington State, will substitute for this experience.
