DSHS FTAA Payroll - Fiscal Analyst 3 Lead The mission of DSHS is to improve the quality of life for individuals and families in need.

Join our team as a Payroll Fiscal Analyst 3 and play a vital role in ensuring accurate payroll operations while making a meaningful impact!

As a Payroll Fiscal Analyst 3 Lead, this position will collaborate with team mates to train new staff, review complex issues through to resolution and analyze and execute more complex and difficult payroll transactions including shared leave, LNI and assaults, among others.

This position will also lead and ensure completion of the review, analysis, reconciliation, and maintenance of the payroll revolving Fund 035 for General Ledger 5181 (Employee Insurance Deductions Payable) and payroll related discrepancies for the whole agency.

Reconcile financial and payroll data and balance with general ledger trial balance by creating and analyzing payroll systems (Benefits 24/7& HRMS) and financial systems (AFRS) output reports.


Some of what you’ll do

  • Manage workload distribution for FA3’s in teams • Reporting daily workload numbers
  • Audit and correct work of FA3’s
  • Ensure payroll reports are examined and corrected
  • Analyze, review and action Day 1, 2, and 3 reports and confirm expected results; research discrepancies and make corrections
  • Auditing and review of payroll transactions and correcting records to ensure accurate payroll.
  • Monitor, reviews, or audits the accounting of all payroll functions, analyzing complex financial and statistical data to determine its significance.
  • Process, analyze and reconcile shared leave and other leave activities.
  • Set up new hires, process rehires, transfers, appointment changes, separations and all other miscellaneous actions.
  • Provide information, as required, to DRS, HCA, and insurance carriers
  • Complete employee authorized verifications of salaries and wages
