Job Description

Summary

This job is for a dietitian at a state hospital helping people with mental health issues by creating and managing personalized nutrition plans to support their recovery and overall health.

You'll work closely with doctors, nurses, and other team members in a supportive, structured environment with a regular Monday-to-Friday schedule.

Within the first year, you will:
  • Improve continuity of care through reliable, patient-centered nutrition services
  • Deliver assessments and interventions that support patient health and recovery
  • Independently manage a clinical caseload with consistent, timely nutrition care
  • Build strong partnerships with interdisciplinary treatment teams across wards
  • Adapt to varying unit needs and provide coverage during staff absences
  • Contribute to a stable and collaborative dietetics team environment
  • Engage effectively with patients in a behavioral health setting
You work within a small, team-oriented group of dietitians at Eastern State Hospital, partnering closely with interdisciplinary treatment teams. The environment values collaboration, adaptability, and shared responsibility to ensure consistent patient care across units.
