Full Job Description

The Director of Student Life oversees all student life programming across all 5 campuses, including evening services and the multi-campus food pantry, and maintains oversight of student leadership activities.

Develops, implements, and oversees campus-wide student life/programming initiatives on all five SCC campuses to include daily operations; evaluating programs, services, and initiatives that support student engagement and success; and a positive campus culture, with a strong sense of student belonging. Responsible for evaluating the effectiveness of student life programs and services through data collection and analysis, and managing the Student Life and Leadership budget.

Oversees the multi-campus food pantry to include daily operations, development of new initiatives and programs to raise awareness of campus resource. Continues to identify new partnerships to promote continued growth of available resources.

Provides leadership and supervision to employees in areas of responsibility. Ensures focus on the success of department goals through professional development, training, continuous improvement, recruiting and retention of talent.

Serves as the point person for all clubs and organization leaders and the respective advisors. Serves as a liaison to student leadership, contributing to the overall and holistic engagement of SCC students. Oversees the management of the College Mascot Program.

Requirements

Master's degree and experience in student services programs.

Qualifications

Master's degree in counseling, student development/personnel/affairs, higher education, or related field. Supervisory experience and 3 years of experience in student services area.

Additional Information

Works in an office environment. Periodic travel to other campuses and may work in various locations around campus depending on the needs of the event. May include nights and weekends as dictated by student events.
