About the Position: This position is located in Hospital Education and Training at Brooke Army Medical Center, Fort Sam Houston, Texas. A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized.

Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Non-Federal work experience may be creditable for leave purposes.

Basic Requirement for Data Management Specialist: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes analyzing data to produce reports, providing technical assistance for program users, and utilizing automated office software.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).

OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Data Science or Information Management.

OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%.

To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12.

Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages. Major Duties:

  • Assist with the San Antonio Uniformed Services Health Education Consortium (SAUSHEC) social media identity and associated informational content.
  • Develop, design, and oversee the content of San Antonio Uniformed Services Health Education Consortium (SAUSHEC) webpages.
  • Implement electronic survey instruments to obtain information from current and former staff, trainees and faculty, medical students, and supervisors of graduates.
  • Analyze data from survey instruments, to include quantitative and statistical analysis as needed.
  • Generate detailed reports and graphical charts to summarize data and describe results.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for trainee and faculty training data and documentation.
  • Provide technical support relating to user access and application of the Residency Management Suite (RMS) software package.
  • Train users on the utilization and navigation of Residency Management Suite (RMS).
