General Responsibility
Serves as a Training Coordinator/Instructor for SC Critical Infrastructure Cybersecurity (SC CIC); facilitating external communications with CLOs, and Task Force members. Gives public presentations on cybersecurity matters, best practices, and overview of SC CIC. Coordinates and plans cyber exercises with key stakeholders. Coordinates SC CIC taskforce communications during critical cyber incidents and assists the team members as needed. Carries out program objectives as assigned by the Director and Deputy Director.

Specific Duties
  • Oversee the Cyber Liaison Officer (CLO) program. Serve as a Liaison with local government and private critical infrastructure organizations to recruit and facilitate onboarding. Maintains a working knowledge of federal, state, and local cyber incident response capabilities.
  • Represents SLED with speaking engagements and meetings on cyber activities around the state for various groups providing education on current cyber trends, stats and security best practices. Facilitate monthly webinars.
  • Collaborate with other team members and partner organizations to develop a diverse program of informational materials.
  • Develop and maintain onboarding procedures to assist organizations with new membership orientation. Conduct onboarding calls with new members detailing all services provided by SC CIC.
  • Manage and update website content, and SharePoint documentation.
  • Perform special assignments as directed by the Chief, SC CIC Director/Deputy Director.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Must have relevant training and development experience.
  • Must have at least two (2) years of professional experience combined with specialized skills and/or certifications related to planning, risk management, or cybersecurity.
  • Must have strong leadership, analytical skills, and the ability to understand and relay basic cybersecurity best practices.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral) are essential to this position. Must be able to establish and strengthen relationships with task force, as well as government and private officials.

    Must be able to communicate complex information, concepts, or ideas in a confident and well-organized manner through verbal, written, or visual means.

  • This position involves working with sensitive information, employee must exercise a considerable degree of discretion.
  • This position requires an on-call rotation.
