This role involves working as a paralegal in a child support office, where you'll answer phone calls from parents, provide information on child support issues, and handle updates in computer systems to ensure fair outcomes for families.
It's a customer service position focused on helping people with questions, complaints, and unique situations without taking sides in cases.
A good fit would be someone patient and organized who enjoys public service, has strong phone skills, and is eager to learn about child support processes.
The Marion County Prosecutor’s Office, led by Prosecutor Ryan Mears, is setting new expectations in the criminal justice system, and is committed to a fair and equitable system.
The Marion County Prosecutor’s Office Child Support Division works to encourage non-custodial parents to take financial responsibility for the benefit of their children.
A wide range of services is available for families, including paternity establishment, locating non-custodial parents, and modification and enforcement of child support orders.
The Prosecutor’s Office does not represent either party in a child support case or favor one side over the other. Our goal is to seek a just and fair outcome.
The Customer Service Unit Paralegals assigned to the Solution Center assist callers to the Prosecutor’s Office with their questions and concerns reflective of the office having a fair and equitable system.
