Qualifications
Education and Experience
- Associate's degree from an accredited college or university in Criminal Justice, Computer Technology or closely related field.
- Two (2) years of experience in investigation or research.
Key Responsibilities
- Collects specific crime elements of information concerning reported crimes and known offenders.
- Identifies crime and criminal elements for reporting and data analysis to assist Investigations with criminal identification and crime trends.
- Aids in investigations and promotes pro-active Police activities by demonstrating Hot Spots and GIS mapping.
- Assembles, compiles, compares and analyzes collected information for the purpose of studying trends and identifying patterns.
- Generates reports or briefings to be used by sworn personnel to structure use of patrol time and support investigations and crime prevention activities.
