Full Job Description

The Metro Nashville Police Department Crime Lab Forensic Technician position shall be directly accountable to the MNPD Crime Laboratory Forensic Scientist Supervisor for laboratory analyses support and related duties under extensive supervision. This position may be in the Forensic Biology or Firearms and Tool Mark Identification Unit as vacancies occur.

****Must be willing and able to work overtime, holidays, and weekends as needed.

The Metro Nashville Police Department is a 24/7/365 operation. You will be responsible for ensuring optimum communications both within Metro and between Metro and the general public. Requirements

  • Completes discipline specific training program.

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s Degree in a natural science, forensic science, criminalistics, or closely related field.

Valid Driver License

Candidates with accreditations earned in a foreign institute are encouraged to apply.
