This job involves leading a team of workers on public works projects, such as construction or maintenance tasks, by planning the work, coordinating tools and materials, and jumping in to help get the job done.
It's a hands-on role where you'll supervise crew members, solve problems on site, and report progress daily.
A good fit would be someone with experience in construction or manual labor who enjoys leading teams and can handle physical work outdoors.
Plan and lead the job site work effort including; coordination of materials, equipment and crew members. Reports daily production results and participate as a working crew member.
Skills and knowledge are typically acquired through a High School education or equivalent and at least four (4) years of related work experience.
A valid Class A CDL Driver’s License is preferred, Class B license required. Must pass a pre-employment physical. The ability to lift and carry items weighting 25 pounds or more is required.
May require basic computer operation skill. Operates a variety of light and heavy construction equipment, i.e. loaders, back holes, graders, dump trucks, asphalt paver, asphalt planer, and roller, etc.
Directs supervision of staff.
