The Department of Transportation is seeking a skilled PennDOT CDL Operator to join the Paint Crew based at the Buckstown Shed in Somerset County.
This district role plays an important part in line painting, thermoplastic application, and other durable pavement marking operations, requiring the safe and effective use of specialized equipment.
The position also includes operating maintenance equipment assigned to this operator level and performing a variety of manual labor duties to support winter maintenance operations.

In this role, you will help ensure that all district line-painting equipment is fully prepared, properly calibrated, and ready for daily operations.
You will support painting activities by monitoring equipment performance, maintaining accurate line placement, and reacting quickly to changing conditions.
In addition, you may be trained and certified to operate a variety of heavy equipment used in both construction and maintenance operations.
