  • Full-time availability for 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday-Friday schedule with occasional overtime and travel; no telework option

Requirements

This is advanced professional social services work for Crawford County Human Services. The primary responsibility is to serve children and adults who have been diagnosed with serious and persistent mental illness and who are in need of assistance from other community services. An important aspect is to provide intensive case management as a primary mode of service which will assist the consumer in gaining access to resources such as medical, housing, social, educational, vocational, and other services. The intensive case management services must be goal directed to reduce avoidable inpatient hospitalizations and enhance quality of community living and independent social functioning.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch.
  • Occasional overtime and travel may be required.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Two years of experience as a County Caseworker 2; or
  • A bachelor's degree in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences and three years of professional social casework experience in a public or private social services agency; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training which includes 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences.

  • This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
    • Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
