This job involves leading a team of caseworkers who help children and families by managing intake processes, ensuring services follow laws, and handling daily operations in a county children and youth services unit.
A good fit would be someone organized and motivated with experience in social work, who enjoys supervising others and training staff while occasionally taking on direct client cases.
It's a hands-on public service role that requires availability for irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and on-call duties.

This position provides a complete range of intake management and social services to children, youth, and families.
The successful candidate will supervise four to six caseworkers in the Intake unit and complete performance evaluations along with monitoring the unit staff to ensure services are provided in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
You will be responsible for the daily hands-on operation of the Intake Unit in absence of the caseworkers. On occasion, you may be responsible to carry a direct service caseload.
This role performs training for new and existing caseworkers in the Intake Unit in accordance with the agency's policy and procedures.
You are responsible for the preparation of intake unit policies on an on-going basis, evaluating and recommending changes to policy or procedures as per federal and state regulations.
You will contribute to the development of the annual plan, collect data and statistics, as well as analyze and prepare written documentation for review by supervisory and administrative personnel.
