Base salary range: $147,649 - $221,900

Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This seasonal job involves operating heavy equipment to maintain roads, trails, buildings, and picnic areas in Gallitzin State Forest, Pennsylvania.
You'll handle hands-on tasks like equipment operation, servicing, and minor repairs while working outdoors full-time from April to November.

In this role, you will perform skilled maintenance work throughout Gallitzin State Forest, including upkeep of forest roads, buildings, and picnic areas.
You will operate a variety of equipment such as trucks, truck-and-trailer combinations, snow groomers, graders, track loaders, bulldozers, backhoes, hand mowers, and lawn tractors.
You will also handle routine servicing, preventive maintenance, and minor repairs on assigned equipment to keep operations running smoothly.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
This is a seasonal, full-time position with no healthcare benefits. There is not an option to buy into health care benefits.
The season runs from approximately April 2026 until November 2026 at which time the employee will be placed on leave without pay. The employee will automatically be returned to employment March 2027.
