Base salary range: $62,107 - $80,737
Typical requirements: 1 year specialized experience at GS-10. Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, or 3 years graduate study.
Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves managing contracts for services and supplies at the Naval War College, including overseeing performance, handling payments, and resolving issues to support key missions.
A good fit would be someone with experience in government or private sector contracting who enjoys coordinating with teams and ensuring everything runs smoothly without major hitches.
You will serve as a CONTRACT SPECIALIST in the Procurement office at the NAVAL WAR COLLEGE.
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Independently managing and coordinating complex service and supply acquisitions by serving as a Contracts Specialist or as a Contracting Officer's Representative (COR); 2) Providing acquisition advisory services to customers and contracts' leadership; 3) Planning and overseeing procurement actions involving cost-type and/or fixed price contracts; and 4) Coordinating with operational stakeholders to support mission-critical requirements.
