Full Job Description
You will serve as a CONTRACT SPECIALIST in the Procurement office at the NAVAL WAR COLLEGE.
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Independently managing and coordinating complex service and supply acquisitions by serving as a Contracts Specialist or as a Contracting Officer's Representative (COR); 2) Providing acquisition advisory services to customers and contracts' leadership; 3) Planning and overseeing procurement actions involving cost-type and/or fixed price contracts; and 4) Coordinating with operational stakeholders to support mission-critical requirements.

- You will administer contracts which include tracking delivery orders.
- You will oversee all contract to ensure optimal contractor performance.
- You will validate progress payment invoices.
- You will monitor contract performance, prepare modifications, and determine the necessary course of action to resolve issues impacting contract performance.
- You will close-out contract following proper procedures to ensure receipt of property disposition, final payments, documents, and clearances.
