About the Position: This position is located at the 87th Medical Group, Military Treatment Facility McGuire. A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized.

Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Non-Federal work experience may be creditable for leave purposes.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social).

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes assisting in the administration of contracts, monitoring contractor performance against established quality assurance plans, and reviewing documents for accuracy.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).

OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D.

in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Finance, Business Management, or other related field of study.

OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%.

To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12.

Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages. Major Duties:

  • Verifiy, enter and adjust budgetary data in a variety of forms, schedules and reports.
  • Utilize a myriad of accounting, reporting, and tracking systems to ensure compliance with DHA or higher level management directives.
  • Plan, prepare and coordinates contract service requirements and establish medical and nonmedical, personal and non-personal service contracts.
  • Assists the 87th Contracting Squadron and other agencies as applicable during the pre-award phase.
  • Monitor contract and contractor performance to assure compliance with contract requirements and manages and maintains all contract records.
  • Prepare check sheets and complete inspections to ensure performance and safety requirements are in compliance with the contract specifications.
  • Responsible for purchasing/procuring new and/or one-time service requests initiated by medical group personnel.
