The Iowa Judicial Branch – Juvenile Court Services, in State Court Administration, seeks applicants for a Contract Administrator to support service contracts for all of Juvenile Court Services in District 8.
This position will be located in either the Jefferson County Juvenile Court Services Office in Fairfield, Iowa or the District Court Administration Office within Wapello County, located in Ottumwa, Iowa.
Under the supervision of the Juvenile Court Services Contract Administration Supervisor, this position is responsible for overseeing and administering both formal and informal Request for Proposal (RFP) processes, as well as drafting new contracts, renewals, and amendments.
The position includes documenting, tracking, and managing assigned contracts to ensure compliance with deadlines and performance measures.
Additionally, the position’s responsibilities include establishing and tracking the annual district budget in alignment with priorities and constraints set by the assigned Chief Juvenile Court Officer (CJCO), verifying vendor invoices for accuracy and proper documentation, and preparing claims for payment.
The position also maintains accurate records of all payments and contracts, compiles and submits statistical reports within established deadlines, conducts annual contract compliance reviews, and monitors vendors to ensure adherence to contractual requirements, working to resolve any identified deficiencies.
The successful candidate will have strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
A solid understanding of applicable state laws, administrative rules, and regulatory requirements is essential.
The successful candidate should possess excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, strong written and verbal communication skills, and proficiency in compiling and interesting statistical data.
This position may qualify for hybrid work after successful completion of a 6-month probationary period. Occasional travel may be required.
What’s in it for you:
The pay range for this position is $58,219.20 - $92,040.00 annually. This is a FLSA-exempt position. The starting salary for new state employees is expected to be at the base of the pay range. Adjustments may be made if the successful candidate has relevant experience.
