Full Job Description

The selectee for this position will serve as the Community Liaison Officer (CLO)in the Community Planning and Liaison Office (CP&LO) of MARINE CORPS AIR STATION YUMA.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

  • You will provide technical advice on land use issues to off-station organizations.
  • You will prepare real estate documents (i.e., leases, easements, use agreements etc.)
  • You will plan courses of action, prepare interpretive correspondence and issue papers on matters that may affect the Command mission.
  • You will develop position papers, station regulations, legislative initiatives to facilitate land use actions or to counter encroachment issues that may affect the Command mission.
  • You will review local development actions or land use plans slated in close proximity to the station and recommend a Command response.
  • You will serve as the station spokesperson at off-station public briefings or meetings.
  • You will manage the MCAS Yuma Installations Compatible Use Zones (AICUZ) and Range Air Installations Compatible Use Zones (RAICUZ)
