The Bureau of Driver Licensing is seeking a Clerical Supervisor 2 to oversee operations within the Driver Safety & Improvement Unit. This unit handles various customer needs, including Departmental Hearings, Driver Improvement School, Special Point Exams, Administrative Hearings, and Occupational/Probationary Limited Licenses. In this role, you will be crucial in ensuring that daily operations and clerical tasks are executed efficiently. Requirements

In this position, you will oversee the planning, direction, coordination, and management of activities related to Administrative Hearings, Departmental Hearing/Special Point Exams, and Occupational License/Probationary License.

You will directly supervise a team of five Clerical Assistant III's, ensuring that work is organized and delegated effectively to maintain a seamless processing flow.

Your responsibilities will include addressing customer discrepancies, managing work processing and correspondence, maintaining the Bureau’s files, accepting certified mail for Petition and Waiver requests, and updating public information materials.


Additionally, you will ensure compliance with cash drawer procedures in the Driver Safety Unit, overseeing the opening and closing of cash drawers, reconciling funds, and ensuring daily deposits.

Collaboration with various departments, including the Office of Chief Counsel, Messenger Services, legislative aides, law enforcement agencies, and PENNDOT’s Driver Safety Examiners, will also be a key aspect of your role.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time.

    In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.

    If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year as a Clerical Supervisor 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • One year as a Clerical Assistant 3 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • Two years of as a Clerical Assistant 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.


Additional Requirements:

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

  • This position requires the selected candidate to undergo and pass a Fingerprint and Name-Based Criminal History Check prior to employment.
