The Department of Labor & Industry, Scranton State Workers Insurance Fund (SWIF) Managers Office is on the lookout for a Clerical Assistant 3 to round out our staff.

The Clerical Assistant 3 functions as the first point of contact for SWIF and provides support for the organization within all SWIF departments and district offices.
Through provided cross training, you will have the knowledge to directly respond to external customer inquires regarding work performed by Auditing, Underwriting and Fiscal Technicians, Claim Reviewers and Medical Bill Payers.
This position makes decisions in the best interest of SWIF’s external customers.
You can expect to identify areas of concern in customer service or workflow and recommend potential resolutions and corrective actions to supervisors or managers.
It is essential you maintain knowledge of SWIF’s operations, workers’ compensation insurance, medical terminology, and applicable regulations as set by the Pennsylvania Compensation Rating Bureau and Bureau of Workers’ Compensation.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time.
In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.
If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Scranton. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.
