Requirements
In this position, you will serve as the main point of contact for the public at the pool contact booth, ensuring compliance with the Cash Management Policy at all times. Your responsibilities will include processing payments from visitors and accurately recording transactions in the cash register. You will adhere to established money handling protocols, which involve maintaining a precise cash drawer and utilizing the drop safe as outlined in the procedures. Additionally, you will keep thorough records through daily forms, printed receipts, and cash register tapes, while following the designated procedures for both opening and closing the pool contact booth. It is essential to keep the Park Manager informed about all relevant activities occurring at the pool contact booth and the surrounding area.
As the public's receptionist, you will courteously explain the park's rules and regulations, providing visitors with the information they seek or directing them to the appropriate personnel. You will also handle general correspondence by compiling and dispatching requested materials such as maps and program guides. Your role will involve screening phone calls, taking messages, and ensuring they reach the correct individual. Proficiency in operating and maintaining a personal computer, along with various accessories like scanners, printers, and other peripherals, is necessary to fulfill your job duties effectively. You will also be responsible for using a fax machine, copy machine, laminator, and cash register.
Daily communication with office staff and other park personnel will be facilitated through radios and telephones. You will utilize the reservation and revenue system to record all sales transactions and manage the revenue generated from the pool, campground, and park office. It will be your responsibility to reconcile cash drawers, verify their accuracy, and rectify any discrepancies. You will oversee the sales of watercraft launching and mooring permits, as well as pavilion rentals, while also registering campers and selling swimming pool passes and group tickets. Building and maintaining positive working relationships with colleagues and the public is crucial, and you will be expected to attend training meetings to enhance your understanding of the Department of Bureau programs.
Furthermore, you will organize and maintain the park's brochure racks and storage areas, ensuring that your workspace remains clean and orderly. This attention to detail will contribute to a welcoming environment for visitors and support the overall efficiency of park operations.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Seasonal full-time employment, without benefits.
This is a seasonal, full-time position with no healthcare benefits. There is not an option to buy into health care benefits.
The season runs from approximately May 2026 until September 2026 at which time the employee will be placed on leave without pay.
The employee will automatically be returned to employment approximately May 2027.
- Shift hours and days vary due to 7 day per week operational needs, with a 30-minute lunch
- Weekends, holidays, and all shifts as needed at 37.5 hours per week
