Requirements

As a Clerical Assistant 2, you will provide clerical and office support within the Bureau of Corporations and Charitable Organizations ensuring efficient operations and effective work product. In this position, you will:

  • Perform Customer Service duties by answering phone calls from internal and external sources pertaining to questions regarding filings and payments.

  • Sort mail daily by filing type and date. (Corporate, Uniform Commercial Code, Certification, Charities)

  • Perform data entry of all documents pertaining to the Division of Operations and Support.

  • Input information from the filings and requests for processing in the computer system according to bureau policies and procedures, as provided.

  • Review documents to ensure they meet all requirements and verify all data entry to confirm they are error free. Correct errors as found.

  • Search and retrieve information contained on microfilm.

  • Prepare documents for scanning by coding and affixing labels to them.

  • Create reports of the work submitted in the computer systems.

  • Track checks and payments made for filings and requests. Reject submitted filings and requests when no money is attached.

  • Prepare user close out reports and wrap checks/payments for processing.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
  • Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week.
  • Work hours are 8:30am to 5:00pm, Monday - Friday, with a 1-hour lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time.

    In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.

    If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg, PA. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.

  • Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $36,108 (before taxes).

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
  • Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • Graduation from high school; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Additional Requirements:
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
