This seasonal job at Lackawanna State Park involves helping visitors by answering questions, handling reservations, collecting fees, and issuing permits for activities like boating and camping.

As a Clerical Assistant 1, your work will focus on delivering exceptional visitor services and efficient office support within the Lackawanna State Park Complex.
You will be responsible for engaging with the public on a daily basis, providing a wide-range of customer services such as answering incoming telephone inquiries, assisting customers with making park reservations, collecting revenue, and issuing various boating and camping permits.
You will provide park-goers with information regarding available park facilities and attractions, rental opportunities, and park policies.
You will also assist the Ranger with opening and closing duties at the pool and contact station, as well as ensuring admission fees are collected and deposited throughout the day.
Clerical functions will entail filing and maintaining paperwork, sorting incoming and outgoing mail, and typing various letters and forms.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
This is a seasonal, full-time position with no healthcare benefits. There is not an option to buy into health care benefits.
The season runs from approximately March 2026 until November 2026 at which time the employee will be placed on leave without pay.
The employee will automatically be returned to employment approximately in March 2027.
